Murder of Bridget Townsend

Bridget Fay Townsend was born on November 5, 1982, and is originally from Houston, TX.

Bridget, who was announced to be missing, was not discovered for more than a year. Ramiro accomplished to elude capture for 8 months before he was arrested for the unconnected abducting and rape of a woman (name Florence Teich) in September 2001. Ramiro was subsequently convicted and handed 2 consecutive life sentences for the offense.

A year later while carrying out his sentence, he confessed to the Sheriff James MacMilliam, that he was aware of the demise of Bridget. In October 2002, the authorities located Bridget’s skeletal bones after Ramiro guided them to where he deserted the body.

After his confession, Ramiro was arrested and indicted with capital murder (an offense that vindicates the death penalty under Texas State Law upon sentence).

Ramiro faced trial before a Medina County jury in August 2006 for the killing of Bridget Townsend. He was charged after he was found guilty of capital murder that same month.

Two years after execution was continued (in 2024), a third death warrant was proceeded for Ramiro, appointing his execution to happen on June 26, 2024. On June 26, 2024, a 41-year-old Ramiro was executed via lethal injection, he was declared dead at 6:50 pm.
